How it works
Three steps. There is nothing else to learn.
Most list apps are good at making lists and bad at the moment you actually use one — in an aisle, phone locked, hands full.

Write the list as you think of it
Type an item and hit return — or photograph the note on the fridge. Keep up to ten lists, one for each shop you go to.

Tap Shop Now
The list moves to your Lock Screen as a live card. You never open the app in the shop.

Check off without unlocking
Tap an item and it's gone; the next one slides in. It works on the dimmed always-on screen too.

Pin a list to a shop. Then just walk in.
Find the shop on the map and turn on Start when I arrive. Next time you cross the threshold, the list puts itself on your Lock Screen — with a notification in case iOS wouldn't let it.
Two lists pinned to the same retail park? You get one question with a button per list, not a guess.
Your iPhone does the watching, not the app: it registers a circle around the place and iOS wakes Next Time when you enter it. No location history is kept and your position is never sent to us.
From a photo
The list on the fridge door counts too.
Tap the scan button beside the add field and photograph a handwritten note — or pick a photo you already have. Next Time reads the handwriting and offers each line as an item. Bullets, numbering and hand-drawn checkboxes are stripped; "2 milk" and "1,5 l" stay as you wrote them.
Nothing is added until you've looked at it. Untick what isn't an item, tap a name to fix a misreading, and things already on your list arrive unticked — so snapping the same note twice doesn't double it.
It gets better the more you use it: the app checks what it reads against the words you've put on your lists before, so it knows your brands as well as your handwriting.
The reading happens on your iPhone, with no signal needed. A photo of your shopping list has no business leaving your phone, so it doesn't — and the app doesn't keep it.
Built small, on purpose
No account. No ads. No server.
There is nowhere for your data to be sent to. The single exception: searching for a shop on the map asks Apple, exactly as Apple Maps does. The privacy policy is one short page.
